Many people, like me, who start fires or get into other mischief would be unlikely to call 911 for the simple fact that they do not want to be disciplined, which is sure to happen. I realize that I could have used a pay phone, etc. but when in this situation it seemed the best thing to do to avoid trouble was nothing at all.
